The journey begins at Chopta, a small village often referred to as "Mini Switzerland of India," which is surrounded by dense forests, alpine meadows, and stunning views of snow-capped peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. The trek to Tungnath, located at an altitude of 3,680 meters, takes around 4-5 hours and traverses through lush forests and open meadows. As you climb, you’ll notice the temperature drops, and the landscape changes, offering mesmerizing views of the Himalayan range. Upon reaching Tungnath, you can visit the Tungnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which holds immense religious significance.
